The Zinger Lab at the Technion – Israel Institute of Technology, in partnership with the Fulbright Program, is offering an outstanding Postdoctoral Research Fellowship in nanomedicine and targeted drug delivery. Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

The successful fellow will conduct pioneering research on the design and engineering of biomimetic nanoparticles to deliver therapeutics across complex biological barriers. Projects will explore how smart nanomaterials can overcome challenges such as the blood-brain barrier, placental barrier, and tumor microenvironments to develop impactful precision medicine strategies.

• Design, synthesize, and optimize novel biodegradable nanoparticles for targeted and controlled drug delivery.
• Apply advanced nanofabrication, in vitro/in vivo modeling, and bioimaging methods to evaluate performance and therapeutic efficiency.
• Collaborate closely with clinical and industry partners to accelerate translational outcomes.
• Disseminate findings through peer-reviewed publications, patents, and international conferences. 

Qualification

Required Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or a closely related discipline.
• Strong expertise in nanoparticle synthesis, biomaterials, or drug delivery systems.
• Proficiency in characterization techniques (e.g., DLS, TEM, HPLC) and biological assays.
• Excellent scientific writing and communication skills in English; experience in translational research is a plus.
