What You Will Research
As a PhD student in Dr. Sabba’s group, you will work on cutting-edge projects focused on sustainability and resource recovery, including:
- Wastewater Innovation: Researching low-DO biological nutrient removal (BNR).
- Resource Recovery: Managing carbon through fermentation and internal storage, and improving phosphorus removal (EBPR).
- Environmental Protection: Studying how "forever chemicals" (PFAS) transform in wastewater and landfill systems.
