Description

The Weidenfeld-Hoffmann Scholarships and Leadership Programme is a prestigious initiative that aims to cultivate the leaders of tomorrow. It provides exceptional university graduates and young professionals from developing and emerging economies with a unique opportunity to study at the University of Oxford. The scholarship is fully funded, covering tuition fees and living expenses, making it accessible to those who may not otherwise afford such an education. Beyond academic support, the programme offers a comprehensive leadership development journey. Scholars participate in tailored leadership training, attend expert-led workshops, and benefit from long-term mentoring relationships. This holistic approach is designed to empower scholars to become impactful change-makers in their fields and communities. Networking is also a vital component of the programme. Scholars are connected with a global community of peers, alumni, and professionals who share a commitment to public service and social impact. Through this supportive network, participants gain insights, collaborations, and lifelong connections that extend beyond their time at Oxford.

The Weidenfeld-Hoffmann Scholarships emphasize not only academic excellence but also a deep commitment to addressing global challenges. Ideal candidates are those who aspire to return to their home countries and contribute meaningfully through policy, leadership, or innovation. By investing in future leaders, the programme helps to build a more equitable and sustainable world.

About & Benefits

This scholarship is part of the Oxford Graduate Scholarships, which were established through a ground-breaking matched funding initiative to create fully-funded scholarships for graduate students of the highest calibre from across the world. The University contributes 40% of the funds for these scholarships, together with 60% from generous donations provided by supporters of the Weidenfeld-Hoffmann Trust, including Fondation Hoffmann. The Leadership Programme is a unique part of these scholarships, and over the course of a year scholars take part in philosophical discussions, learn business skills and receive communication training within a supportive community. More information on this can be found on the Weidenfeld-Hoffmann Trust website.

The scholarship will cover 100% of course fees and a grant for living costs (of at least £19,237). Awards are made to cover the full duration of your fee liability for the agreed course.
