Description

We are seeking a dedicated Master's or Ph.D. student for the Spring 2027 term within the School of Chemical Engineering at Oklahoma State University. This position focuses on cutting-edge research in heterogeneous catalysis, nanomaterials, and sustainable energy or chemical processes. If you want to contribute to solving major global sustainability challenges, we encourage you to apply to our research group.


The chosen student will receive financial support through a research assistantship or teaching assistantship, which covers a tuition waiver and a stipend. Successful applicants will engage in independent research covering novel nanomaterial synthesis, materials characterization, and environmental or reaction applications. Candidates will also focus on developing skills in teamwork, creativity, and communication while publishing their work in high-impact journals and presenting at conferences.


Qualifications

Candidates must meet the graduate admission standards for the Oklahoma State University School of Chemical Engineering, which require a minimum GPA of 3.0 out of 4.0.

  • Applicants must submit GRE test scores with a minimum quantitative score of 160 and a verbal score of 150.
  • International applicants must provide proof of English proficiency with a minimum TOEFL score of 79 or an IELTS score of 6.5.
  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or an equivalent science or engineering discipline is required.
  • Candidates should possess high motivation, enthusiasm, and a strong commitment to academic excellence, with preferred prior laboratory experience in nanomaterials and heterogeneous catalysis.
