Description

Are you a PhD graduate passionate about equity, community wellbeing, and the role of the arts in reshaping society? The Centre for Arts and Social Transformation (CAST) at the University of Auckland is inviting applications for a Postdoctoral Fellow to join a dynamic, collaborative, and impact-driven research team. CAST explores how the arts can improve lives and foster a more socially just world. With partners ranging from educators and artists to activists and policy makers, the Centre conducts innovative research across education, health, and community development.

About the Role

As a Postdoctoral Fellow, you will:

  • Conduct arts-based research in wellbeing, equity, education, and health
  • Co-author of academic and creative publications
  • Collaborate with community stakeholders and maintain funding partnerships
  • Develop your research interests aligned with social transformation
  • Seek philanthropic and contract grants for new projects

This position offers flexibility: CAST is open to appointing two part-time fellows instead of one full-time position, depending on the candidate's strengths and availability.

  2. Are skilled in arts-based or qualitative research
  3. Have a background in equity, education, or community wellbeing
