Description

A full-time postdoctoral scholar position is currently being offered at Florida A&M University under the guidance of Professor Mandip Sachdeva, a recognized expert in drug delivery and nanomedicine. The role has been structured to support advanced research at the interface of pharmacology, nanotechnology, and cancer therapeutics. This position will be embedded within a multidisciplinary research group comprising scientists and graduate students, where collaborative research efforts are centered on the development and evaluation of nanomaterials-based drug formulations. 

Responsibilities

The postdoctoral fellow will be involved in a wide spectrum of experimental work designed to advance targeted drug delivery systems and cancer models.

Primary responsibilities include:

• Conducting formulation studies with various nanomaterials
• Performing in vitro cell culture, 3D assays, western blotting, PCR, flow cytometry, and molecular analyses
• Working with 3D spheroids, organoid models, and pre-clinical animal studies
• Supporting ongoing research while contributing to independent project development 

This fellowship provides a strong foundation for postdoctoral researchers aiming to transition into successful academic or industry careers, both in the United States and internationally. The lab is known for fostering independent thinking, scientific creativity, and professional growth. 

Qualification

Candidates must possess a Ph.D. in pharmacology, molecular biology, nanobiology, biotechnology, nanomaterials science, or microfluidics. A minimum of one year of post-Ph.D. research experience-either in an academic lab or the pharmaceutical industry, is preferred. Additional consideration will be given to candidates with demonstrated expertise in:

• Cell culture and cancer assay techniques
• Development of cancer models
• Microfluidic systems
• Nanotechnology-based drug delivery platforms 

Highly motivated individuals with a solid publication record, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to function effectively within a team-based research environment are encouraged to apply.
