Description

A collaborative postdoctoral fellowship opportunity has been announced by the laboratories of Professor Struan Grant and Dr. Shaon Sengupta. This position is being jointly offered through the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia Research Institute and the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania, one of the leading centers of biomedical research in the United States. This research-focused position has been designed to advance discovery at the intersection of genetics, pediatrics, and clinical informatics, with particular attention given to translational science and the molecular basis of disease in pediatric populations. 


Responsibilities

This research-driven postdoctoral position is intended to push the boundaries of discovery where genetics, pediatrics, and clinical informatics converge. Emphasis will be placed on translational applications and pediatric disease mechanisms. The fellow will receive strong support in advancing independent, impactful research. Key focus areas include:

  • Translational science addressing pediatric health challenges
  • Molecular disease mechanisms in early-life conditions
  • Integration of genomic and clinical data for precision medicine
  • Collaborative, multidisciplinary research environment

Qualification

  • Doctoral training in genetics, genomics, bioinformatics, or biomedical sciences
  • Proficiency in multi-omics data analysis and interpretation
  • Experience in computational biology and algorithm development
  • Familiarity with clinical data integration for translational applications
