Applications are currently being welcomed for a full-time Postdoctoral Fellow position in Healthcare Analytics at the Lazaridis School of Business and Economics, Wilfrid Laurier University. This opportunity has been designed to contribute significantly to an advanced research initiative focused on enhancing healthcare coordination through the integration of AI and data-driven analytical methods. This research will be overseen by Dr. Salar Ghamat, Associate Professor and Canada Research Chair in Business Analytics in Supply Chain, in collaboration with Dr. Mojtaba Araghi. The appointed fellow will contribute to impactful research activities focused on enhancing healthcare system performance through data-driven strategies and collaboration with industry stakeholders.
Responsibilities
This research initiative will be led by Dr. Salar Ghamat, Associate Professor and Canada Research Chair in Business Analytics in Supply Chain, in partnership with Dr. Mojtaba Araghi. The selected postdoctoral fellow will be actively engaged in high-impact research aimed at transforming healthcare operations. Key responsibilities include:
- Collaborating with leading faculty on advanced healthcare analytics projects
- Engaging with industry partners to address real-world healthcare challenges
- Applying data-driven methods to improve system performance and coordination
- Contributing to research outputs that inform practice and policy in healthcare

Qualification
To qualify for this opportunity, candidates are required to have earned a Ph.D. in a relevant discipline before the appointment's commencement. Preference will be given to those with a strong research background in analytical methods relevant to healthcare operations. The ideal candidate will demonstrate proficiency in the following areas:
- Stochastic modeling for uncertainty and variability in service systems
- Mechanism design for optimizing resource allocation and coordination
- Data analytics with a focus on healthcare or service applications
- Operations research or management science in real-world settings
