Applications for the University of Sydney Australian Government Research Training Program Scholarship for the 2026 intake are now open. The University of Sydney is a top-class, world-renowned institution. This AGRTP Scholarship is available to international and Australian students to pursue a Higher Degree by Research (HDR), which includes Master’s and PhD by Research. The scholarship is fully funded by the Australian Government, covering all expenses. Importantly, a separate application for the scholarship is not required. To be considered, you must submit your application for a research degree program before the scholarship application deadline and receive an offer from a supervisor.

Eligibility Criteria
- The University of Sydney RTP Scholarship is open to all Nationals.
- You can only apply for the RTP Scholarship if you have received an offer into a higher degree by research program.

- Develop your research proposal and find a supervisor. Before you submit your application, you must first secure a supervisor.

- A bachelor’s degree is required to apply for a master’s by research.
- A master’s degree is required to apply for a PhD in research.
- You also need to meet the English Language Requirements.
