All the courses are developed through close consultation with industry and researchers working at the cutting-edge of agricultural sciences and animal health. Murdoch University is the only city-based university in Australia with an on-campus farm. Eligibility and Benefits:

Domestic applicants must be enrolled full-time in an HDR program and should hold a First Class Honours degree, a H2A (or equivalent), or a Master’s degree with a substantial research thesis component. International applicants must meet the academic requirements for their chosen HDR program and provide evidence of English language proficiency as part of their eligibility.
Successful candidates will benefit from the Research Training Program (RTP) stipend, which provides a tax-free living allowance of A$37,000 per year. The scholarship supports doctoral candidates for up to 3.5 years, ensuring sufficient time to complete high-quality research projects.
At Murdoch, you can apply for a postgraduate research degree throughout the year. If your degree involves a standalone research project (such as a PhD), you'll be able to commence at any time of year. If your degree includes coursework, you’ll need to commence at the beginning of semester.

To apply, candidates must first prepare all required documents, including a completed online application form, academic transcripts, a Curriculum Vitae (CV), a detailed research proposal, and completed referee reports. Once ready, applicants must email all required materials to the Graduate Research Office at graduateresearchdegrees@murdoch.edu.au before the closing date.
Selection is primarily based on academic merit and research potential. Applicants will be ranked according to their academic achievements, previous research experience, and how well their proposed project aligns with Murdoch University’s research strengths.
