Description

A prestigious postdoctoral fellowship in environmental and occupational health has been offered by Indiana University’s School of Public Health - Bloomington. The position has been funded through NIH grant support and will be hosted in the Department of Environmental & Occupational Health. Active oversight will be provided by Dr. Drew Capone starting in October 2025. The appointment is expected to be full-time and non-tenure track. 

Responsibilities

Job Responsibilities

• Advanced research in environmental health microbiology and data analysis will be conducted.
• Design and execution of experiments, along with data interpretation.
• Peer-reviewed manuscripts will be prepared and scientific findings disseminated.
• Mentorship of junior researchers and graduate students will be facilitated. Training in grant writing, research management, and ethics will be provided.

Qualification

Required Qualifications

To be considered, candidates must:

1. Hold a PhD in environmental health, environmental engineering, microbiology, or related domains by the time of appointment.
2. Strong capabilities in scientific writing, statistical analysis, and project management are expected.
3. Independent research leadership and proposal development are encouraged.
